In 2021, Marek Wonka and Sylvester Kolakowski took ownership of Chimney Hill Estate, envisioning a restoration that would bring the historic property back to its former glory. With a shared entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to excellence, Marek and Sylvester have poured their hearts into transforming the estate into a hidden gem. Their hands-on approach and passion for hospitality are evident in every detail, from the meticulously renovated guest rooms to the lush, well-maintained grounds.

Meet the Owners
Marek Wonka, originally from the Czech Republic, moved to the U.S. at 22 and built a successful residential cleaning company before venturing into hospitality. His vision and dedication to creating a welcoming environment are key to the estate’s charm. Marek often hosts events in the Carriage House, ensuring guests experience the best of local cuisine and wine in a beautifully converted banquet space.
Sylvester Kolakowski, born in Poland, moved to the U.S. at age six and worked as a Network Engineer before joining Marek in this ambitious project. Living on the property, Sylvester is deeply involved in the day-to-day operations, from preparing gourmet breakfasts to engaging guests with his friendly demeanor. He enjoys creating memorable experiences, such as evenings by the fire pit or in the magical Old Stone Room, where guests can relax and connect over wine and conversation.

Chimney Hill Estate offers a range of event spaces, including the enchanting Old Stone Room, the elegant Banquet Room in the Carriage House, and the serene Glass Greenhouse. Each space is designed to provide a unique and memorable experience, whether for weddings, corporate retreats, or intimate gatherings. The estate is also developing new spa amenities, including a sauna, jacuzzi, cold plunge, and a Himalayan Salt Cave, set to open by early 2024, promising guests an unparalleled wellness retreat.
